Installation of Footpath, Pergola and Lighting
Sparrow Farm Junior School, Feltham
The School requested an adjoining footpath that connected both the Infant and Junior school together for parents, teachers and pupils.
The new footpath was designed to be durable, with a natural fitting overall aesthetic with a minimal impact on the natural surrounding environments and provide adequate lighting throughout the winter months.
The footpath was constructed with permeable aggregates and permeable asphalt courses to prevent surface water ponding, and finished with a permeable resin system.
The new footpath was accompanied by long stretches of timber pergolas which were used to soften the overall look of the footpath and enable the school to grow planters on each pergola structure.
To overcome the winter months lack of daylight, timber lighting bollards were installed along the perimeters of the new footpath.
